Nestled in the fertile rolling farmland of Scotch Block is one of Halton’s best-kept secrets.  Those who visit our 10th sideroad winery will be treated to a sampling of wonderful wines ranging from dry fruit and grape wines, to ice and dessert wines.

In just two years this fledgling winery has received 10 national awards of excellence.  In this past year, Cassis Black Currant dessert wine received a gold medal. 

Silver medals were awarded to three dinner wines, namely Regal Blackcurrant, Gooseberry Supreme and Elderberry.  True Blue, blueberry, which is also one of the winery’s dinner wines, rating a two on the sweetness scale, scored a bronze along with dessert wines Framboise and Redcurrant Cassis.  In Europe, Cassis Blackcurrant is mixed with white wine to give a very exquisite drink called Kir.  Cassis and champagne is aptly named Kir Royale.  We have found that if you mix Cassis and Gooseberry supreme on a 1:2 ratio you obtain an equally exquisite drink.  Name for the mix anyone?  Maybe Kountry Kir or Black Goose?

 We are accustomed to organizing and performing wine tastings either on or off our winery site.  We have a shared program that works well.  For those who do not choose to taste wine, we have non-alcoholic alternatives available.

The winery is open daily from the first weekend in May 4th to October 31st.
